You friend may be old school but now days what he did is backwards. You set the main jet first then the needle then the pilot.

Yeah, I'll will be modifying the neck gusset this winter. This is my first build and I have learned a lot of do's and dont's. I'm not sure why he adjusted the carbs the way he did but it runs pretty darn good after he spent a little time on it.

I know 650skull, sounds stupid right? I'm defiantly working on being more patient when it comes to carb work and mechanics. It boils down to me just not havering the knowledge and I get impatient and frustrated but this forum has helped me out tremendously!
