It's a combo regulator/rectifier. The Kawasaki uses a permanate magnet type altenator. The missing wire is the red wire.
You can use this type of reg/rec. You have to wire the brushes straight to a hot wire after the switch. This effectively makes the field excited alternator act like a permanate magnet alternator. Not the best way to fix the problem, but one way.
If you have bad stock parts, Pamcopete's Chrysler regulator and Radio Shack rectifier conversion is about the least expensive option for getting your charging system up and charging.
