Today was one of those lovely days when its sunny and warm but cloudy. I took a trip out to the South side of the river Tyne, going West. This is Prudhoe Castle. There's scope for another visit as it is near Heddon on the Wall (the Wall being Hadrian's).

Dave! What a great photo essay of your visit! After reading it, I immediately had to look it up online to learn more about it and see more photos. I absolutely love seeing the history and beautiful countryside where you ( and others) live. I will likely never see these places in person, but getting to see them through others eyes is a real treat for me. I’m happy to see you out and enjoying your bike, and thanks for the post!

Great scenes around Newcastle. Fully agree it has one of the best bridge scapes in Britain, including the North East's very own Sydney Bridge!

Great story line Dave, I miss the area so much having lived in the North East, and being a life long Newcastle supporter.
