Supposedly, the seals from Mike's are the same brand (ARS) as the originals. I've used them without any problems. The only one that sometimes causes grief is the "improved" triple lip camshaft seal. That seal must be installed as deep as possible into the points/advance housings for the seal lips to get onto the cam end. They added the extra lips on the outside of the seal so sometimes they don't make it to the cam stub. I'm not sure if the Yamaha seal is any better now either. It may have been updated and "improved" too.
The only seal / gasket that concerns me is the gasket for the points housings to head. If you use a gasket that is thicker than stock, it moves the points housing out and that carries the PAMCO sensor with it and it can therefore cause interference between the PAMCO PC board and the PAMCO rotor.
