Bike specs - '83, TCI ignition, full battery, K&N, 1.5" drag exhaust, 137.5 main, 47.5 pilot and XSJohns needles, mix screw at 3.25 turns out.
After a warm up, I've noticed that if I rev to about 2k, I notice a intermitent pop out the exhaust. Not a backfire, but as if the motor hiccuped. Carbs a BS34 fully rebuilt. I've tried smaller pilot but can't keep the rpm from hanging at idle. Choking, even just a bit, would immediately bring the rpm back to normal so I guessed it was a lean condition. (no air leaks and carbs synced)
Can anyone venture a guess as to the cause?
Thanks.
