New XS in Michigan

Well, the bottom line is when it's your bike, you can do what you like with it.
Glad to hear your not chopping it though.

Let me know what you want for the trees and fender.
You wouldn't happen to have a set of stock air boxed kicking around would you?
Thanks a bunch - Tom

Ok guys sot check this out. Last night went into the garage to get final measurements for the spacer I wanted to have made. I started by seating the bottom bearing and stuck the stem in the neck to eye ball things. From what I could see they were lining up pretty well so I seated the top race plopped the top bearing in a stuck the neck in again. From what I can tell the tapered bearings took up the entire height difference in the two stems!!! I think the only thing I'm going to have to do is figure out the stops on either side. Anyway I'm very excited.

Dave

edit: Tom still not sure about the air boxes, might just leave them alone for know but shoot me a pm with an offer for the trees.

Curt, that's good news! It'll save some money for other things. Did you ever even get any quotes on machining the spacer? I'd be curious to hear what they wanted for it if you did.

haha.. So a couple of $20 all you can eat buffets... $40 isn't bad.. Must be a friend of yours?
