Hi all, just recently bought my first XS (78 special). Have had a couple of new bikes in the past the first being a Kawasaki ZX2 (learner license required!) a Honda VTR 1000 twin and most recently a 1050i Triumph Speed Triple.
Wanted something a little different sitting in the garage, something with a little character, and something that didn't mind being "played" with....so the XS was chosen!
It was pretty much a std machine when I got her and in the past month has seen a few upgrades
- Badging removed, side covers & tank filled and painted matte black
- Polished side covers
- Drag style bars
- Nicer looking seat (SR500 I think)
- Bar end mirrors
- Electronic ignition. (previously fitted)
- Reverse megaphones (previously fitted)
- Mikes XS pod filters
- Mikes oil filter/cooler conversion
- Mikes floating front brake disc & braided lines front & rear
- Mikes Monza Cafe style rear shocks
Since the pics I have also changed the indicators, same style but half the size.
New "sparto" tail light assembly arrived in the post today so that will be fitted up soon.
I'll be sure to add more pics along the way.
Anyone else in Brisbane looking to meet up for a ride let me know, I'm always keen.
Threw in a pic of my Speed Triple too, just for good measure ;O)
Best regards, Steve
