Howdy -
Proud new owner of a 1980 XS650. It had some 'work' done to it - but has a long way to go for the direction I would like to take it. Longer term plan is a cafe style - with some 'new' upgrades.
First undertaking will be a fork swap. I sourced an 2016 R6 fork - and that will be the base for the swap.
So - question is - go with the 'stock' offset of the R6 fork - or get a 'custom' offset triple setup that will give a better offset (cognito makes an offset upper and lower). Plan is a 17" wheel, etc. New to this - so don't fully understand the ramifications and angles.
Thanks in advance.
