so i had a reg/rec on my pma system take a shit. it was just one of those cheapy-deapy chinese jobbies. it lasted about 4000 miles. luckily i had another one on hand to swap out temporarily to keep me on the road. i see comparable replacements on ebay from $13-$50. but i also see the compufire brand for about $160. of course, there are new and used oem replacements that i can make work.
i hate buying chinese electronics as it seems its a crap shoot with what you get. might last 1000 miles, might last 100,000 miles.
just wanted to get some opinions...
a.) keep buying chinese (ugh)
b.) spend almost my entire summer fuel budget on a compufire
c.) try a used oem
ps. this is NOT a stock vs. pma charging system thread! thx
