Possible XS400 Trade

I ran across an XS400 on craigslist. I'm offering the guy my 6 year old John Deere lawn mower with a 42" cutting deck as an even trade.

Am I crazy or going to get a good deal if he decides to do it?

A trade is all about what the value of the items are to the party concerned. The other day I had a guy contemplating trading an '84 FJ1100 for my Walther PPS. The bike is definitely more valuable in dollars but he wanted a carry and I want(ed) a cruising bike. You're only getting taken if the tractor is more valuable to you that a new bike.

Looks like I'll be heading over tomorrow to pick up the XS400. I don't need the lawn mower as I have another to use. Admittedly, I don't need the bike either but I'm going to make the trade anyway. I'll pretty it up and list it on craigslist in the spring.
