problem with carbs I suppose

Hi, I'm from Eu and new there. Sorry for my English. I modified a Yamaha xs650 1981 3L1. Stock jets, mixture screw 3 turns out. Compression is good. Run open exhaust with silencers inside and pod filters on carbs. After changing to new boots there appears a new problem. Left exhaust produce normal hot air, right is cold but works. Again I took carbs out for cleaning, adjusted the float level and also re-torque head base. After those steps the problem is still there but conversely - right is hot now, left is cold. Can I ask what should I try now? Try to set timing maybe?

What carbs do you have?
Ignition? Is it stock TCI or something else?
Is the bike getting spark? Did you check the plugs and coil?

Thanks! I checked again the plugs again! Now it works. One bad plug...

I just put the new plugs, and I thought they are ok. I will remember to always check everything. Thanks for the reply!
