Has anyone successfully flushmounted a USB plug into the headlight somewhere?

I recently installed this:

On my handlebars and I wanted to create a way to charge it without running a wire to the battery.

I picked up a 1' cord for my phone for this purpose.

Originally I was going to replace the voltmeter I have flushmounted into the headlight with a combination USB/Voltmeter, but it's much much deeper than the voltmeter so it will hit the light fixture.

Now I'm consiering just trying to work a small square-ish USB female plug in there. Has anyone done something like this?

I have seen those threads, but none of them have an example of a flush mounted female port in the headlight.

I think I found a solution to the depth problem, now I just need to find a flush mounted port.

I often go on shorter local rides where I won't have my phone mounted, which is why I'm looking for an option where I can unplug the cord and have it look like nothing is there.

Think I found a way to do it which I'm happy with. This will break my rule of running a wire to the battery, but the added benefit of keeping things super neat will be worth it.
