Anyone know what can be causing it to run on 1 cylinder when i start it up cold choked? Starts first kick i leave it choked for a few seconds then right when i turn off the choke the 2nd cylinder fires then it runs great
I've only had experience working on my bs34 carbs so I cannot speak for the bs38 or other aftermarket carbs you might have. But I did have a problem with my carbs where I could never start my bike when the chokes were pulled. Post #2 from XSLeo solved it for me: http://www.xs650.com/threads/choke-not-working.34832/
I soaked the bowls in carb cleaner for a few days and used an air compressor to blow out the holes. One side was very stubborn so I used a small ball point sewing pin and picked at the jet. I found it was easiest to see the jet by using my phone (recording video with the flash on and using the screen to view down the hole).
