Whats a good trick for sliding dust boots upwards with front end all assembled. Tried prying with flathead and twist/pull with wrench. No dice.

Jay,
Lube the tube above the boot with Armor All or even soapy water. Slip a very small straight screw driver under the boot at it's base and gently break it free. Lift the boot over the lip on the fork lower at one point and then continue on around. Slide the boot up the tube.
For most things that it is used for I dislike Armor All. But it's great for softening old rubber parts and getting them to do what you want.
