I’m replacing the smashed crown nut. A razor knife isn’t working to get the copper washer off. Any ideas?

I’m replacing the smashed crown nut. A razor knife isn’t working to get the copper washer off. Any ideas?
Just nudge it, tap it gently on the side of it, on the horizontal plane with a putty knife from a few directions. It was loosen.

Those washers smash significantly. I have doubled down on what is the best drain plug gasket. It's either OEM or THESE (link).
