has anybody done the ufo carb conversion from thunder products, and if so what do they think.problems/benifits etc and was it worth doing...thanks also any feed back on their other BIKE products.have just come across their page and it looks intresting

Keep your money in your pocket, Flea. Thunder Products specializes in 2-stroke snowmobile stuff. Their claims are pure snake oil when it comes to 4-stroke motors, and their "secret scientist" story is one of the classic cons. Don't think for a minute that Mikuni didn't know how to make slides with a solid base for the VM carbies; have a look at the OE vacuum slides.

The UFO's have been around for years, and you won't see them on a race bike. Finally, consider that Thunder Products wants you to richen the cutaway to 2.0 to install the UFO's, and once you cut your slides to do that, there's no going back. You'll be out far more than the price of the little plastic gizmos when (not if) the UFO's don't do anything for you.

anyone else?main reason taking this serious is a highly respected xs650 road racer in oz got a set of ufo conversions back in 2008 from mmm and has been using them ever since, he reckons they do work well but would like some comments off any body that has tried their products (4 stroke),especially the ufos.sorry grizld but as the xs has proven there are a lot of upgrades to parts the exspurt/manufactures have made perfectly as well as some shonky upgrades
