I’ve bought four of these tanks on eBay over the last few years trying to find what you’re looking for and feel it doesn’t exist, especially a rust free interior. I finally found one with little work but the interior needed resealing. I decided to have it done professionally. I’m $800.00 into the tank now but I think it’s the best looking xs tank by far, Good luck.

Thanks for reply. @rem61 thanks for input. My local painter charges $1500 for the reseal process so trying to avoid if possible.

Can’t imagine all these early bikes were left outside in the elements continually. The search continues…

Thanks for reply and sources. I’ll add to my vendor list. My source normally does Harley tanks so maybe larger size is why so high.

Hopefully will have a reason to try these sources provided sooner than later.
