On the Special and 79F gauges MPH was limited to 120MPH.
77D. Early 77D's still had the brake lining warning light. During the 77D model run that safty feature was removed from the bike.............5Twins has posted pics of the 77 rear hub with the brake lining switch bracket saw'n off from the factory.

Eurpean, Canadian, Oceania, and any other country using Klm's instead of Miles had 220KPH Speedo clocks

Robonic...............i'm sure that 80SG is the Canadian speedo, 220KPH........Fred can confirm from his 650 and you will find the non US XS750's and XS850's have the same 220KPH speedos
In 80 the US changed to the 80MPH speedos
