What have I got?

I am new to this forum, but what I have seen so far is pretty impressive. I have a 71 XS650 that I picked up a few years ago. I was going to make it a restoration project but have just never had the time and now the wife is giving me grief about it taking up space, etc. so I listed it on ebay yesterday. She's probably right, I doubt that I will ever get around to it. Anyway, I have a clear title (VA) that says it is a 1971 VIN#
S6500093440000000. I think it is a XS1B. When I get home today I am going to check the frame and engine numbers as I have picked up that they should match from reading you site. Anyway it is in pretty good shape so if you know anyone looking send them my way.

Butch, 000 and up are 70. Your 009 fits in the 71, 007 and up. The 72 is 101 and up.

yes yours was build # 2243 of that year, 009344 - 007101 = 2243
