hi just rewired my xs2 bobber,problem i have is that in manual it says thers a switch that the green wire and black wire from alternator pass through before they go to regulator and rectifier,i dont have such a switch.can this switch be left out cheers chazz

I don't know what manual you have but if it's that wrong on the alternator and reg and rec wiring then how right can it be on anything else.
On the XS2 as well as all the bikes up to 79 that use the mechanical regulator and seperate rectifier the green and black wires from the alternator are the brush wires. On your bike the green wire carries power from the reg, and grounds through the black wire. No switch invloved.
