I have a 1972 XS-2 650 that was delivered new from Yamaha with a bigbore 750 engine installed. Yamaha delivered 200 of these 750 kitted bikes in order to qualify for AMA flattrack racing in 1972. i know of one other guy with one of these 650/750s but would like to find out how many of these are still out there. they look identical to a stock red and white 1972 XS-2 650. The easy way to tell if you have one is by the serial number on the frame and engine. these bikes have a GS650-xxxxxx serial number instead of the standard S650-xxxxxx number. let me know if you have any history on these bikes or know of anyone who has one...thanks
