After 3+ years of building my track bike, I finally got it to my first track day in October. Two weeks later, I got an email at work "So, how would you like to transfer to a resident position in Chengdu, China?". We moved here at the end of February and the bike is back on the workbench for the next 3 - 4 years while I work a new project in China.
This is a really cool place, but we aren't allowed to drive, much less ride a motorcycle. Withdrawal has set in! I'll get to play with my toys once per year when I come home for vacation in the fall. At least I can have Thanksgiving and Christmas at home before heading back to the salt mine.
After pulling my butt around the track all day, the bike probably needed the rest anyway......
