Picked up another XS project bike today. Its an 82 Heritage special, running great and everything works. New Upholstered Seat, Boyer ignition, carbs rebuilt, new stuff here and there. Not sure what i'm gonna do with it yet but for now it can sit on the lift. I'll probably be tearing it down...

Ok so electrical question. On my 82 Cafe project i want to remove all the useless electrical items. (but still keeping electric starter) Removing -light checker -reserve lighting unit -side stand relay -start cut relay -safety relay and whatever else i may be forgetting. QUESTION...

Picked up this slick 82XS today. (will add build pics as i start it) Thinking Cafe for this one. 2 XS bobbers is enough i guess. The PO started to make it a tracker, but i see more of a cafe racer. (also just a pic of the garage, i finally painted my back door red)

So i've finally got a few miles on the build and i've noticed that it doesn't seem to like downshifting into 1st gear. All the gears work fine, nothing is popping out of gear or anything. Just a bit mechanical, or stiff feeling when trying to get back into 1st approaching a stop light. And...
