While restoring the XS2 I am ready to paint the emblems for the side covers. Only problem is all of the ones I have ever seen are red and white, mine appear to be red on red. Was the Canadian bikes different?
I’ve never seen any that were all red. Mine were the standard colors. It’s possible that they are painted all red first then the white is added on top, and maybe on yours the white flaked off? Just a guess.
Well it has taken some time, and lots of phone calls but finally have the answer. A family member found a picture of the bike from when it was originally purchased. The badges were originally red on red.
