Thanks Peanut! Yeah i'm dreading the wiring, but it has tobe done, even if it's last on the list!!

Hey Airwolfie!
You make me chuckle Man!
Ya might want to leave - get MOT!! last :wink2:
You know that the wiring isn't hard to do.
Just no cold solder joints that's all.
I had one for sure  in the head light, learned the fact on an evening ride
the belt is a nice touch
You will geterdone

Hehe yes MOT is last! If you go with my list, the wiring will be about fifth from the bottom!

I don't do cold solder joints, I got a decent iron! Plus, my electrics guru mate will no doubt assist!

mmmm I think an update is well past due my man.:D

Have you drawn up your wiring diagram yet ? :bike:

Funny you should say that...............:D

Got my mate over this week to help me fab up a bracket for the exhaust. Managed to get it all done, until we go to actually welding up the bracket! !0h30 at night, and he ran out of welding wire!!!!!:banghead::doh: Got it tacked up, but it needs to be welded on properly. going to be hidden so the exhausts will look like they "float". No point in pics as it ain't done!!!

And ANOTHER one off the list!!!

Managed to bleed my front brakes!!! Another first for me on this build! Got it done in under 40mins! I think that's good??! Nice and solid,no spongyness!!

Getting closer!!!:bike:

wow its looking tremendous ...such a huge amount of work .
.I still think you will ride yours before I ride mine :bike:

Have you considered getting hold of a standard wiring loom to use as a base to copy and then modify and remove what you don't want from that. ? I got a brand new loom for £50 quids on ebay

Thanks Peanut! You best get your arse in gear then!!!:D

I didn't want to use an original loom, as I have changed the bike as a whole, I thought I may as well do the lot myself, well, I got a friend who will help me! That way I will also know where is what.

Fingers crossed my mate will do the bracket this coming week sometime so it won't belong until I try to turn the engine over!!!:bike:

oh my god! Make sure that you stick the vid cam on and really enjoy the moment when you start it up. Its been a long and expensive road,.... challenging but ultimately rewarding when you take that first run.

I've been building a shed for the past couple of weeks. I have partially dismantled the old sheds and am extending the larger shed so I'll end up with one 4.8m x3.0 m shed so I can store and fettle my bikes in the warm and dry

I'm putting a lock on it so swmbo can't shove all the gardening stuff ,mowers , tumble dryer and rubbish in there yeehaw.

Exhaust mount is done!! So all I have to do now is paint the buggers and wrap them once I got the engine running first!! I'll take some piccies tomorrow once I have painted the exhaust!!

Getting closer now!!! If I SAY the list, it sounds so little, but looking at it, I still have a bit to go!!!:bike:

 another job to cross off the list.
You've got to start on the wiring loom you can't put it off for much longer lol.
Once you've ordered the wire and collected the electrical components you'll have the momentum to get cracking on it.

never mind the paint on the exhaust .....I want to see it running:wink2::D:bike:

I'm fine one to talk. I ordered up some bigger pilot jets for mine and charged the battery but I still haven't found time to sort the carbs.

This is what is taking all my time and energy at the moment ...the bloomin shed!
Should have all the walls up this weekend hopefully.
sorry for going off topic but I've been dying to show somebody .Swmbo just said mmm very nice dear :(

Be happy it was a positive response. Even if it was a half hearted one. They don't understand.....unless its their project! Yes, I am married. LOL I gave up years ago trying to share my joys of anything with the 2 ladies of the house.

thanks  knew I could rely on you guys to give some appreciation.

I think the cladding for this thing is going to cost more than the bike :yikes: it might have to be a lean-to lol

Wish I was closer to give you a hand with the wiring and share a beer or two.
