My first ever bike build!!

A man cave is essential. Even if its just a lawn chair and a radio in/by the lighted car/bike port.

I have this image in my head of peanut going out to his new man-cave,

And discovering all his tools spread out on the bench,

Sorted shortest to longest.......

You don't need to paint your pipes and fit a fender to start her up and get an MOT . Have you got a wiring diagram yet ?:wink2:

No wiring diagram yet, I will steal one off this forum methinks! I want it DONE before MOT(yeah I know they are never done!) so I can just go out and play!:bike:

Some pics for you to enjoy!

Here is the bracket, it sits behind the exhaust so you can't see it!

Here is the exhaust mounted! The two pipes are connected to each other via a bolt that is welded to the bottom pipe, and this in turn has another bolt welded to the side so it goes in the bracket!

A few more coats, and I'll pop them back on, then it's on to wiring, maybe tomorrow or even tonight! But I thinkwe are going to our local drinking hole tonight. Wil see.............

well done mate thats excellent progress.

I know the wiring might seem a bit daunting but there are lots of folk on here ready to help .Easiest way to start is probably to print out the original wiring schematic and erase all the things you don't want and start from there .:wink2:

Thanks Peanut!
I will just have to pull my finger out and just do it! Wiring the engine up isn't rocket science as Boyer gives a schematic for the setup! So it should be straightforward!

Yeah right!!

Surprising how quick and easy some jobs turn out when you've been putting them off.:wink2:

I still think you are going to have yours running and MOT'd before mine. :bike:

:D Thanks Peanut!

Have you ACTUALLY done anything to your bike lately??! Hows the shed coming on?!:wink2:

not a thing !
I've treated all the rust on the campervan this week as we are off for a week in Cornwall this w/e yippee:D

I've made quite a bit of progress on the shed too . Today I started to put the roof on. Most of the time has been taken up denailing all the cladding I took off. but at £8 a length I've got to reuse as much of the old shiplap as I can.

When I get back off hols my first job will be to fit the new pilot jets tune the carbs and hopefully MOT .

I shall be monitoring your progress whilst I'm away camping so don't think you can sit in your shed supping beer all next week!
