My Yamaha XS650 Street tracker Build by olddude13

I know this is an old thread but..
I was told that using the newer sportbike forks lowers the front of the bike? did you experience this? Was their a reason you used gsxr forks? or was it something you had laying around?
I love your build so far very inspiring. I tried the link to the glassguy but didnt find anything?

Yes the forks are a little shorter than stock . stock xs ground clearance is a lot also if you look at vintage xr750's the do not sit so high. Once up and running if length is concern i could make/install fork extenders. we will see.

More work on rear master cylinder mounting.

from your pictures it looks pretty level. are your rear shocks shorter then the stockers
if you wouldnt mind could you give me a measurment of the forks from axle to top?
i want to update my forks and have been measuring every bike i come into contact with to figure out what i want to do. I really like the looks of upside down forks

Check link do not expect much the look nice have not tested them, you know the saying you get what you pay for, i needed some thing for mock up.

I buy alot of stuff from that guy, always good to deal with, and so far the price has been more than fair for the product...

PS, that bike looks awesome!! I love the stance of the chassis, and i think you will have plenty of room under that chassis. Mine is 4" off the ground, and I ride it like a flat tracker all the time and beat the crap out of it. I just barely touch the frame when sliding around on the gravel roads. You seem to have much more room for getting it :bike:

I used a 2001 GSXR caliper and the nisan master cylinder ....amazing the similarity that we used!!!!!! I too fabricated all my parts during my build!!!!!!!!6700_1022677184310_1746649472_41001_6179287_n.jpg

86 yamaha radian do not let any body tell you different its a direct bolt on! when it comes to fitting swing arm to frame. ( well axles are different i will have to check size )

you need:
swing arm, axle adjusters, keep your swing arm shaft /bolt and nut
