I mean, it kind of sounds like Pascal’s Wager

Similar, but one difference is we're automatically born into Pascal's Wager. With Roko, becoming aware of it sets it in motion. Religious scholars would have a real similar problem to deal with that would be solved by the Genesis account, where there never is a time of not being aware. If Roko depends on infinite simulations, that seems impossible so it seems there's really nothing to be concerned about.
