Don't we all have one "friend" like this?

Hmmmm....hilarious.
He would definitely be a candidate for what my Dad used to call a "frank and open" conversation in the garage after supper.
Pete
Is that anything like an ass whipping?
Pretty much the same thing with my Dad, except "quiet" wasn't one of his virtues.
Don't recall ever getting a spanking I didn't richly deserve.
Dad was a farmer, the son and grandson of farmers. Farmed with horses for a lot of years, and milked cows by hand for even more. He had forearms like Popeye.
One particular attitude adjustment I will never forget. I was around 15 (with all the attitude that entails) and weighed 150 or 160. I don't recall the exact infraction, but Dad reached around with one paw, grabbed me by the back of the neck and lifted until my gunboat-sized shoes cleared the floor by a couple of inches. For the duration of the following (distinctly one-sided) discussion, you may be sure he had my undivided attention!
Anytime I got one, I think it could have been handled some better way.... One thing I appreciate my father for is he never once hit me. I wouldn't be able to hit a child no matter how angry I was.Pretty much the same thing with my Dad, except "quiet" wasn't one of his virtues.
