Hello all, I have a old Yamaha that my Father built in the mid 70's. He died in 1978 and the bike has been sitting in my shop for years, I moved while in the Navy and took it with me all over the country thinking one day I would rebuild/restore it. I have realized that will never happen, I drag race cars and honestly I am not into street bikes. I need help identifying it and maybe help with what it may be worth. It will be on Craigslist Sacramento shortly afterwards..... Thanks for the help

Sorry for the multiple posts, I posted on the wrong page.

What those guys say, the bits I see point to a 72. Sillyfornia is a strong market for the XS but that looks pretty rough.

Around my neighborhood with a title 200 to $500 tops out there maybe double those numbers?

It can be found with the help of serial no. of your bike. It will tell the model and manufacturing year of your bike. Well if it doesn't help then keep the bike to yourself as it will become sometime a vintage bike and you will be the proud owner of it.
