Wondering about a build like this

Hi - no bike yet, but looking to jump back into motorcycling with a project - have loved yamaha's all my life (enduro's and xs's primarily). I'd love to a street tracker / scrambler but do not have the hugest budget. I love this bike. I am a complete noob and only moderately mechanically...

    My Build

I purchased my 78 xs650 Special from an auction place near by for $500 and it was in fairly good shape. Carbs were gummed up the cam chain tensioner was worn, the starter was grinding and the petcocks leaked like a sieve. I've never owned, or ridden a motorcycle before. After a yearish of...

    FNG here, got some pics

I bought this `72 XS2 about 20 years ago. I found it in a barn, the way you see it. I now have the idea down for how I want it to look, and the place to build it. It has a long way to go. Now if I can just figure out how to upload the pics!. . . .

    Aluminum tracker tail section

Just saw this on Ebay and wanted to give you guys a heads up. These look very nice. These are definitely for someone that has a lil extra cash in there pocket compared to the fiberglass ones. But I have never been a fan of fiberglass, I like the simplicity of aluminum. So maybe one of these...

Single down tube street tracker build

I'm builing the frame myself. It's a big undertaking. Had a machine shop build the steering neck for me, and a friend lent me his pipe bender so I could make the new frame members. Slowly coming together. Renovated our basement so I haven't worked on it much in the past month.

    Streettracker project

Hey guys, Over the next few months I will be adding to this section and showing you some things I did for my 78 XS650 Streettracker project. I'm just gonna throw out the obvious. As far as frame mods and stuff I have pretty much just cut off everything except for the frame rails and...

Its not a XS, but this R1 dirt tracker is bad!!!

I know its not a XS, but it IS a Yamaha and a dirt track style of bike, I'm not to sure how much fun it would be with an unreal power to weight ratio. 160HP and 380lbs sounds like it spells HOSPITAL. Anyways, here is the link. They say the new R1 has a different crank rotation and it sounds...
