Repainted and relined original fuel tank and installed new petcocks but have developed a slight fuel leak around the bolts that attach the petcocks. Is there some type of sealer needed to fix this problem?
Thank you all for the great advice. The old bolts had a recessed rubber washer incorporated in the contact side of the bolt head. The new petcocks came with a thin metal-fiber washer that just ain’t cutting the mustard.
Thank you for this post. it saved me time and money. a perfect 6mm hole! trimmed them, put 8 on a bolt with nuts and washers. then turned them on my belt sander!
