Hey all, a while back we talked about fork lowering. The topic then came up of adding rake to the frame. I think it was Teebs who said ,make sure you go out and not up.
If I follow the back bone of the frame out 6 inches, and add length to my lower frame legs and goose neck them out some, what problem will this cause ? I would try to keep the same neck angle. This I think would lower the bottom of my frame, and leave my forks stock. It would make the neck higher by an inch or so.

What are your goals in doing this? I don't see any problems as long as it's strong, straight, and if you change your rake, your trail measurements are still within the reasonable range..

I'm building a brat, and I don't like how short the bike looks. I don't want to extend the swing arm, so I thought I'd add length to the front.

I just cut the plates off of the stock swingarm and made new ones that relocated the axle 3" back and 1" up., people notice the length of the bike, they dont really notice how I did it.
