I’m working on another ‘78 E (which is now dismantled into pieces 
) Found the wires coming from the alternator have been damaged and at some point attempted to be repaired, however in a sloppy way that would never have worked, I’m pretty much sure of how to connect all but the 3 white wires going to the rectifier. That’s where my question come : does it matter which white wire connect to which white wire on the rectifier? Are they interchangeable ? Can’t track anything that describe exactly where they need to connect, but would think it doesn’t matter as all it does is changing from AC to DC - any thoughts ?
