Did a search but nothing turned up.
I used this stuff years ago for matt black engine finishing. Worked superb on heads, cylinders, cases. Stinks up the wifes oven a bit though...

Anybody tried it lately? It used to be (a long time ago) only in black, but I see they have other colors now as well. It is much tougher and thinner than any paint, way thinner than powdercoating, and lasts indefinitely. And if you scratch something, you could (and I did ) just bring the engine up to temp and spray on some touch-up.

Brownell's Gunkote is good stuff, but its finicky to get it to cure - takes a while even after baking. I restore a lot of guns, and my go to coatings are DuraCoat from Lauer Custom https://www.lauerweaponry.com/

These coatings are also fuel proof *wink wink*

I'm planning a military-look xs650 with these coatings.
