Not sayin' I'm old, but I knew a guy that was a crew chief on Ben Franklin's kite. 
I'm 39 but I think the average is little north of that. Maybe a little closer to 50-55 I know we have a lot of guys on the other side of retirement but there are quite a few younger guys as well. I find that regardless of age this is one of the friendliest forums around, I've been on a few that were just a bunch of elderly gate keepers and to cool for school douche nozzles that didn't want anything to do with new guys. That is far from the case around here.

I bought the last US XS650 as my first bike. I'm 62. I go to rallies. The overwhelming majority is over 55 and we are very cool!
Technically speaking there is nobody who owned a new XS under the age of 55 (in the US at least).
If you can turn a wrench, this is a timeless motorcycle. If you can't turn a wrench, buy a new bike every 3-5 years.
Yeah, I owned one... a Monkey Wards 125. It was a Benelli 125 with the M. Wards badge.

I found the forum when a buddy of mine who races flat track introduced to me his xs. It was pretty much game over for me then, had to get one and start riding and racing.. I’m 27
Well my first bike was the same make as the tires on it! 1965 or 1966, forget which it was, Bridgestone 60! Got my motorcycle license on it 55 years ago! This is not mine but a picture of one just like the one I had!

hard to impossible imagine 50 yrs ago but got the big 70 coming up shortly but only have 1 bike older than me .. the 1947 douglas T35
Both me and my XS2 have a birthday coming up in November. If you add my age to my bikes age you get…………..115 years!
