Need help with my 83 xs650 backfiring on right side-it starts first kick always, when I roll on the throttle I get backfire, let off and it stops, then roll on again and it acts like the cylinder comes alive and you here the pipes-almost like it was not firing-It has spark and I added the mikes new 82000volt coil which did not help.
While the bike was running I disconnected right side plug-left side kept bike running.
When I put the right side plug back on and removed the left side plug engine immediately died. Put left side back and fires right up.
It got me pissed I cant figure it out. I have also looked at air leaks-none, I have not messed with syncing the carbs because I dont know how.
Appreciate anyones help. I thought it may be burnt valve related. I am going to adjust the cam chain tonight-left side is fine.
