can I run longer clutch and throttle cables until i get my bars?

Hey guys I am still undecided on what I want for bars on my xs and during my rebuid I have managed to break both my throttle and my clutch cable...better now than on my first ride! But will it cause me any problems to buy and use the longer cables from mikes xs until I know what I doing for bars and then trim them to length?

Keep it simple, decide now what bars you will be using. Don't buy clutch cables from Mikesxs..................buy from 650central.com.............much stronger cable.
