Hello,

I had to pull my clutch cover off, I was wondering if anyone just uses right stuff and no gasket? Right stuff is a great sealant but wasn't sure if you need the gasket for any reason.

Thanks

I prefer a gasket over just sealer of some sort. Sealer squeezes out when you tighten the cover down, forming little balls or glob-lets of sealer on the inside that can break free and circulate around with your oil. They can plug oil passageways. I would never use just sealer and I would NEVER EVER use silicone sealer.

^Just for the record, you can reuse the original factory gasket there many times. Maybe forever. Just be careful not to break it when you remove the cover. Those thin, green replacement gaskets that are common get really brittle.
