I'm just tri'n to figer out what exhaust to build what's the best for the every day
run of the mill hardtail 680cc 277 rephase 2- 1.5" no baffle
2-1.75 some baffle 1.75 2 into 1 or 1.5 2 into 1 noise is not a problem,
not sure on carbs yet I have a vm36 2 into 1 set up and a good set of bs38's
how long should the main tubes be. just tri'n to make a great runner

Tough call, dog. What are your priorities.

Sound (yours or theirs), looks, performance (2 into 1 may be challenging with a rephase), cost, convenience (out of the way for servicing, doesn't burn your legs), reliability (easy to tune without funky reversion issues and jetting complexities, doesn't fall off), durability (raw steel or stainless).

Difficult to get all this in one package, may need compromises.

I think a lot of the guys around here like those commando style mufflers from mikesxs. I just went with el cheap shorties. My budget hasn't really had me looking for the "best" of anything yet.

yes thats the plan I have 1 TCB 1.5 kit but have been thing about 1.75 tubes
I'm not building a race bike just one I'll ride all the time and want to run good allaround
in town and on the open road just not sure what length the pipes need to be.
