No, not that kind of art.
Back a few months ago, Bob (Mailman) responded with these words to my posting of a 1940's (?) era Radio City Products Signal Generator which I found while trash-picking. So I will give him creds for the term, "Garage Art".
This genre of object is as important to me as anything else is in my garage, as esthetics creates the lubrication for Quality (reference to R. Pirsig) mechanics.
Currently, the vintage signal generator is a cool focus of this space:
I have old pistons on the shelf in Homage to Burt Monro's workshop,
and various gauges on display.
Most recently I picked up at a flea market a model train transformer like the one I used as a young child;
....and a poster I somehow managed to pry away from a local Yamaha dealership owner back in the early 80's (??) and had framed. Perhaps someone could identify the racer ? I've forgotten....
So, what Garage Art adorns your workshop?
