Hi guys,
I'm rebuilding my top end, and I always put a light smear of oil on my paper gaskets and have done so on my base gasket, the gasket between the cases and the jugs. Now the question I have is that I haven't been able to borrow my mates cam chain riveter as quickly as I wanted so haven't been able to torque down the top end, I imagine my gasket has swelled somewhat from the light oiling. It might be a while before I get the chain riveter and am able to rivet the cam chain and button it all up.
Will the gasket be okay, when I finally get chance to torque up? Or shall I use a new one, I don't want to button it up and then find it not sealing properly.
Thanks a lot for the advice
