Installed Rewound Alternator Rotor, now blowing fuses.

Turns out I'm a little thick sometimes.....

Anyway... Rewindin' a rotor for a customer. there was some damage on the outer ring... it's outside the brush contact area, so it'll work just fine, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out what damaged it....
'bout a half hr ago the lightbulb lit up....
Now I know.

Designing a system where you can mix up screws and cause damage... and then not putting a WARNING in the manual is engineering malpractice imho.
Glad it was a relatively easy fix.

The older now XS650 and older now mechanic in me blinked and breathed,followed my gut feeling and retraced my tracks.Your rotor is working

I almost mixed up some pearl copper and air brushed it to cover it up.Glad I didn’t now.lol

Get us a face on shot of the alternator? All stock wire harness (with side car additions)?

Thinking now I can add a big outlet to the chair from the 75 for the amenities she wants for it.Hair dryer,curling iron,toaster,retractable roof,️.Definately not.
