Hi Y'all,
I just joined the forum the other day, and posted a quick intro, but wanted to do one all proper with a picture and everything, lol.
Anyhoo...
My name is Chris, and I'm from upper state New York. I just started riding about a month ago, and my first bike is a 1981 XS650. Here's what she looks like:
I think I really lucked out with this one! She's got less than 8,000 miles on her and is in fantastic shape. My friend and I stripped, cleaned, rebuilt, and synched the carbs, and replaced the brake hoses with stainless as well as putting in a new master cylinder. (the original one was kinda chewed up from what seems to be the bike tipping over at one point. This thing must have been sitting in someones barn for years. It even has the original tires, which I obviously replaced.
I am really liking this bike, and I'm trying to find every reason possible to take it places.
So, enough about me. Thanks for reading this, and thank you all for all the info and advice you provide!
Chris
