After cutting the wires that go from the fusebox to the safety relay and starter relay and soldering them together, everything functions as it should. I also ripped my old harness apart to make sure this was the right way to go about it.
Everything seems to function with the kill switch. Now, I'll just need to get the bike fired this weekend (for the first time), before stripping all back down for some powdercoating.
