Low RPM Hesitation Problem

So it looks like I have a #45 pilot jet in the carbs already. The things are very very clean. What I am going to do now is raise the needle two spots. How do I get the stupid clip off without damaging the needle?
 
Ok well I figured the needle clip out and I raised the needle two notches. I also installed a #137.5 main jet.

I put everything back together and after it warmed up the bike ran super good. It had a TON more power and was a blast to ride.
