i'm having a really hard time deciding what I want to do.. was wonderin if anyone had any insight on comfort. I've sat on her and they both fel good. also trying to keep cost LOW... i dont know... input please..

Looks wise, I personally like mids better, but to each there own... forwards on the xs650 seem to far "out there" to me...for highway cruising forwards are usually more comfortable, less cramped up.
Around town, mids are nice.. if you cant avoid a bump or pothole you can stand up to soak up the bump with your knees, especially on a hardtail. With forwards you pretty much have to suck it up and take the abuse.

Keep the mids and put on highway pegs. I have all my bikes that way.
