My Introduction

HI,

Randy here, proud owner of a stock 1981 XS650H. I have been riding since 1972. I have had my share of bikes on and off road. Sold my last machine in 1994 just before I retired from the Air Force in 1996. I came across this bike and could not refuse. right now it is in the shop getting a once over and a new rear tire. It is all stock with 7500 miles. The one item I would like to add is a highway bar with foot pegs. If anyone would happen to have one for sale give me a shout. I will post in the classifieds as a wanted items. Looking forward in sharing and learning from other XS650 owners.

Hi Randy and welcome,
check the age stamp on the front tire.
If it's more than 5 years old get a new one.
Even if it looks perfect it's age-hardened and won't grip nearly as well as it should.
