Scooter, I don't want to be argumentative, but since you asked, here's my opinion. I would use only a Tsubaki master link in a Tsubaki cam chain. I would not use a knockoff no-name part from Mike's XS.

Sadly another example of parts from Mikesxs that just don't work. I have also been forced to do jobs twice on my bike. First time with Mikesxs parts, and the second time when I have to remove everything and use the proper OEM parts.
All I can say to lads that are new to the XS650........................avoid buying parts from Mikesxs.

I got my last couple cam chains right from Yamaha, from Boats.net. They're cheaper than Mike's now .....
