Hello all. I'm starting my second restoration (or rescue) mission on a vintage M/C and will surely need your knowledge from time to time. Back in 1983 I bought a brand new 650 Heritage Special. And while that was 30+ years ago, it still remains one of my all time favorites, out of about 20+ bikes I've owned over the years. I was going to look for one to restore but I like the old school 650's too.
I happened upon a XS2 in much need of rescue. It was completely disassembled, except for the engine, and the tank and seat are in great shape and the numbers match. This is going to be a long process of hunting down parts and fitting it into my schedule, but looking forward to riding it in the end. I also posted a picture of my first restore that I started in 2013 and finished last year, a 72 Honda CB350, another bike dear to my heart.
